What Types of Features Does MyFax Offer?
MyFax offers several options for sending and receiving faxes:
- Via email, which is one of the most popular options due to the sheer simplicity of the process
- Through dedicated mobile apps, which are available for free on both iOS and Android. MyFax’s mobile apps give users the ability to send, view, and organize faxes
- Via the company’s web interface, which is usable, but also dated. The web portal gives users the ability to preview the fax before finally hitting send, but it has a habit of shrinking the preview at the bottom of the screen to the point where it’s impossible to read.
MyFax accepts the most common file types, including PDF’s, DOC’s, and TIFF formats, and all fax messages are stored indefinitely. To help keep archived faxes organized, users have the ability to assign tags to messages, and the website’s search option makes it quick and easy to find old files. There’s even an option to create blocked and allowed lists, which ensures that users aren’t charged for faxes from blocked numbers.
Users can choose fax numbers that are local, international or toll-free, and existing fax numbers can also be imported into the platform. All accounts come standard with 24/7 phone support, and each user can be linked with up to 5 email addresses.
Updating important details like profile information and billing data is straightforward, and the Help tab is easily accessible at the top of the page. Clicking it brings up a list of common questions, opens the full user guide, and gives the end user a way to quickly get in touch with support. Everything about MyFax was designed with the end user in mind.
Security is an area where MyFax is severely lacking, however. The password reset process sends a new password in unencrypted plaintext, which is less than ideal. Moreover, there’s no two-factor authentication functionality offered.

MyFax offers three pricing tiers:
- The Home Office User Plan costs $10/month if billed monthly, and includes 100 outgoing fax messages and 200 incoming pages per month
- The Small Business User Plan costs $20/month if billed monthly, and includes 200 outgoing and incoming fax messages per month
- The Power User Plan is $40/month if billed monthly, and includes 400 outgoing and incoming fax messages per month
Overage fees are 10 cents per page, and a 9% discount is available if users pay annually instead of monthly.
A 30-day free trial is available, but only on the Home Office User Plan, and a credit card is required to start the trial itself.

Support is where MyFax truly shines. It’s available 24/7 and segmented out for sake of convenience into 3 distinct categories: Customer Support, Technical Support, and Billing Support, each which has its own separate toll-free number and email address. Comprehensive user guides are available for download on the company’s main website, as well as a variety of tutorial videos. Chat is also available on the website, but responses can be slow and lacking in helpful details.
